I was partial to Clay's tone, and of the two, he's a more solid performer with pitch and sheer RANGE. (But that's the trained musician in me listening I'm not America)
But Ruben was loveable in that "Big Cuddly Velvet Teddy Bear Motown" Way.
Both are winners.
Clive Davis (RCA+ RECORDS) announced tonight that both Clay and Ruben are signed and are already recording and will continue to battle each other on billboards charts.
I can't complain, I'm very happy for them both. Now no rest, I want those albums damn it.
I hope we hear from Kimberly Locke too in the future. She was one class act with a hell of a nice voice, and I usually HATE women vocalists. (Too Shrill) but that girl can SANG. Nice sultry powerful alto. Very nice.
A little disappointed, but over the moon to know we WILL be hearing Clay again.
