Avatar - I had a CG-Gasm

I will not post spoilers I promise!

But as an artist, you really must see this movie, the CG work in this and the eye candy it a must see.

And for the record, I am reminded why Sigourney Weaver is one of my favorite Character actresses!

Her Character in this movie is like Jane Goodall with Ripley's BALLS!
(For those who do not know ripley, that was sigourney weaver's character in the ALIEN movies...) I think everyone should know who Jane Goodall is, if not, google her.

I half wonder if Cameron really did find a planet called Pandora, and filmed there. ^_^

My hubby was super sweet and took me out to surprise show me a movie :) I LOVELOVELOVED Avatar.

it was BEAUTIFUL and I think the plot was just what it needed to be. :D Simple, effective. And I've heard that he WANTS to do 2 sequels. So, just as with star wars, I'd be content with a simple beginning leading into more complexities later in life. I was utterly charmed though by the whole thing: The people, the world... seeing how things fit together... and oh it pulled at my heart too. But I loved movies like this.. the whole.. ehm... Jane Goodall thing. :)

World building is one of my favorite things to DO.. and I LOVE seeing worlds that others have built.. books about exploration have always been thrilling to me. :)

and it excites my mind XD can't ask for more then that XD

Went to see it this evening with the folks ( it's a RARE occasion when all 3 of us want to see the same movie Oo ). I slobbered myself throughout the entire movie. The designs for EVERYTHING were GORGEOUS, and very masterfully done! It's like I said to my friend, I had an art-gasm watching Avatar! The motion capture work was the best I've seen in years!

I will say, though, and I think this is because I was expecting it ( thank you, HBO's sneak peeks... ), I caught all of the accent mini-slips by the main actor playing Jake. He's Australian, and it showed a few times. ^^; Not complaining, though!
