Well my 20th High School Class of 1989 Reunion has come and gone and it was quite nice. Hooked up with lots of old friends I haven't seen in 20 years. I also have come to see that almost NOTHING has changed in my old hometown since I left. Small towns see very little changes.

But that was not the highlight of my weekend. No.
On Saturday morning I decided to go hit a mall I used to frequent as a teenager and inside was an endangered animal rescue group getting donations. Of course I went over, they had tigers and lions and a limur, a little tiny Joey (Kangaroo) etc...

Not only could you view the animals, for donations you could pick one to PLAY WITH for 10 minutes. As in, get into the cage, sit down and let the tiger cub gnaw on you! an you saw I whipped out my money faster than you can say "I wanna be tiger food?"

I got to play with a 3 week old white bengal tiger... it is a Cat Lady's WET DREAM COME TRUE!!!

Oh yeah, heaven on earth! Yes that is me holding Calista, the little female. *HEART MELTS* Worth every single penny I paid for this experience. I can now cross off "Touch a real live tiger before I die" off my "Bucket List"

What a weekend!

You'd have loved the little Joey Mako, she was so CUTE! just 4 days out of the pouch, her little legs were already power houses. They took her out of their "pretend" pouch to clean it out and re-stuff it with more towels etc... a keeper wore that at all times, her real mother didn't want anything to do with her. so the Keeper was replacement momma and wore that big deep quilted bag over her stomach to keep the little darling in, her head poking out and one back foot, just kicking it. :)

(I never knew baby Kangaroos peed and crapped in their mother's pouches.) Learn something new every day,

but she did not want to be out of the psuedo pouch and kicked and complained until they stuffed her back in and she was a little ray of adorable sunshine again. :)
