Hmmm... Those look really good. I wish I wasn't too goddamn lazy to bake much any more.

I sometimes make Indian type pastries that are like these but spicy. They require finely minced cooked vegetables (I use potato, onion, mushrooms and then something colourful), garlic, fresh grated ginger and tandoori masala and/or garam masala spice mix, and of course the dough for the crusts. It is best to fry the spices first in some oil and/or butter on a pan, and then add the veggies and stir them with a spoon until they are soft and the moisture has evaporated from mushrooms. The filling can be made quite fiery because the crust mellows it down somewhat. The result is absolutely delicious! I think you could add meat if you wanted, although these don't actually need it in my opinion.
