Family Card...

Our Family Card this Year

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

Fwee thanks.

There's actually a hidden joke in that card. I'm notorious for having an ongoing love/hate relationship with our outdoor lights.

See when we first moved here, 4 years ago, just a short ladder and I could string the lights all the way to the top of our redwood trees...

Now? I need a 12 foot ladder and an 11 foot poll and nearly break my neck every damn year because I refuse NOT to get them damn lights all the way to the top of the trees! It looks STUPID only half way up.

Trouble is... redwoods are huge and grow insanely fast and eventually I'll either need a CRANE or give up the fight and it pisses me off.

I'm going to do the lights this weekend... If I die you'll know I fell off the damn ladder.

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

LOOOL Sweetie, sorry if I posted it here! Bah strange card comes out for me!!! o_0

awesome card. but i see not the kaiser, and that is sadness. and i feel you on the lights. i'm hiring people this year. i've given up. especially since my sister put them away last year in the "stuff it all in the box and let my big sister deal with it come next winter" fashion. yeah, so not putting up with that shit.

Kaiser isn't with us anymore....
remember I said over a year ago he went to live with a great family with tons of kids, a HUGE yard and a female shepherd to play with.

he's MUCH happier where he can run and have tons of kiddy attention. I couldn't bring him in the house here and I couldn't spend enough time with him outside.

It KILLED me to give him away, but I knew the family and it was best for him.
