FUCK YOU MICROSOFT AND ALL YOUR PROPRIETARY CRAP!

Any of you who have bought a new computer recently know that microsoft word no longer comes with them.

Now you get a 60 day office TRIAL and then to get word you have to fork out an additional $200.00

No... you don't.

In fact you'll never need microsoft office again!
Thanks to the lovely people who create free open source software
http://openoffice.org

Not only can you do everything Word, Excel, FrontPage and Powerpoint does
it has a CONVERT TO PDF feature.

Yes, no more buying plug-in for word to Print to PDF
one button click with Open Office

I love this program, it's free, it's open source and will open all your microsoft files

(And does not add all that extra proprietary CRAP in the source code)

Enjoy my new find if you haven't heard of it yet already yourselves.

I'm using it to code on my website:

Check out the NEW FABLESPINNER.COM and NEW YAOIARTISTS.COM both products of using free open source software

Content Management system provided by the folks at DRUPAL and text and coding content by OpenOffice.org

<3

There I've done my geek service for the day. ;)

BOOYAH! Thank you Neesan, I also got stuck with the Office Ass-Ramming when I bought my laptop a few years ago. Now I can get office stuff without padding good ole' Bill's wallet any more.

I'll snag it when I get my new laptop too. :)

^^V I tried using it, and once I did, I realized just how many Microsoft short cuts I use unthinkingly when I type. ^^VVV Also it did something really *strange* to my documents when I used it, so I gave up.

What programs did you use to build your site? My comp came with Word, but it's been the first one in a long time. Probably because it's from Dell.

Drupal just like on YaoiArtists. Same COntrol panel.

That's pretty neat. I think I'd like to give Comikaze a try sometime, but I don't know how to install it.

drupal has a webcomic addon That integrates seamlessly into your site theme.

I'd install drupal on your folder but there is only one drawback....

your URL will show up
http://fablespinner.com/biancamarou

instead of http://silverempire.com

I'd have to redirect your domain direct to the folder. Because you are technically a subdomain on my site that's the only was to install a management system on your folder.

Just like Yaoiartists.com now redirects to
http://fablespinner.com/yaoiartists

same principal, you can still keep the domain and people can still use it, but the page itself will redirect to the actual folder path rather than the parked addon domain name.

Aw, well that's allright. I like my domain name. I think I'll just go with my previous plan of redesigning my site. I'm also going to group some of my older artwork by years and make an intigrated link to my adult site and stuff.

Did you figure out chat info?
