Samurai 7 - 17 ... HELP!

Does ANYONE know the correct BT tracker LINK to Samurai 7 17?

I've crawled all over IY-4EVER's site, NOTHING all the links are BAD, they are talking about a new european tracker in the forums, but naturally no LINK, just insults and laughing at leechers.

I may BT damn it and I don't chat while I do it, But I SEED FOR DAYS

Cut me some slack, and I really want 17 and cannot connect anywhere to get it (and I'm IRC STOOPID) I've tried over and over and all I get for my efforts in IRC is booted.

Even before I ask for a bot connection, I'll look for a trigger I can never get it to work, so I ASK the people in the room and I've given up on that, all you get is nasty teasing N00B!!!1111oneoneone (no respect at ALL -- not every person asking for help is a 13 year old kid spamming) and not a single person is kind. I have never been treated with respect in ANY IRC chatroom. I've come to the conclusion that IRC is the domain of Assholes ONLY CLUB, no one ever tries to help someone LEARN and over a year now of trying to learn and understand I've given up.

I'm not a techinical whiz-kid, I don't understand the language they put in FAQ pages.

What may seem simple to someone who uses IRC reads like badly translated Japanese to English stereo-instructions to the illiterate.

First you...< /msg ! whatz-its > then you < boom_bozo_boom! > Then you have it!

EH? What did you just say? Can I have that in ENGLISH PLEASE? I've not read a single IRC for dummies Faq page that I understood in the SLIGHTEST.

I'm sure it's EASY TO USE once you UNDERSTAND , it's understanding the INSTRUCTIONS that's difficult to a New person.

So yeah... HELP!!!!!!

I don't know if this is a good link or not, but there's one at the bottom of this page: http://www.tokyotosho.com/index.php?page=2&cat=1

Hmm, maybe that fansub group disbanded or something. I saw another group that had subbed up to 12, hopefully they'll catch up quickly.

The grousp has not disbanded I just think their new host sucks donkey balls.

I hear you. I *hate* IRC. It's frequented by a bunch of twats that would rather laugh at you than help you. I consider myself fairly techno-savy, and I still don't understand how to use IRC. But you also can't play around with it to figure it out on your own, because if you screw up, the assholes kick you out. None of the instructions are any good, either, total Greek to me. I think I got lucky once and started one download, and couldn't find where the hell it went on my computer, or the setting in the client that said where it was downloaded to. I quit and went back to BT.

Well as of this morning in the IY-4EVER forums I'm not an idiot their tracker is down.

Nice new host.

Down the first day they use it.

And TOTALLY -- If I can try out a few of the commands they tell me to use I can figure it out, but dare type it in wrong and that's your ONLY shot before you're ridiculed and BANNED PERMANENTLY from the room.

I always want to go to these people and say "Ya know, do you remember your first day before you took over the room? How about showing the same compassion that the people showed you when you got your feet wet."

I never understand people being needlessly arogant and cruel.

Can the superiority complex already.

I'm going to take a look around Pheonix Torrents to see if maybe they have it there.

Wait... waaaaaait... DAMMNIT!!! *twitches and falls over* I went to Pheonix Torrents, someone mentioned that Anbu fansubbers also did it.

Went over to Anbu *group thats also doing Naruto*

Samurai 7 got licensed by FUNI Xx;.

I fear they are going the way of Get Backers and Shaman King ;~;.

But sometimes if you do a search through Pheonix Torrents and look through the forum threads that show after the search, you may find something. I found some, but you have to sign up as a member of the forums... which reminds me I have to download LOST ^^;.

Incase you didn't find a mIrc tutorial that's readable...
Not that my how-to must be better. But it's coming from an ex-mirc-n00b!

Once you're connected. On the window"status:" paste in "/join #nameofthechannel" Lessay the channel name is #mangadl

Then you got this window "#mangadl" popped up. Type in "!list"

Okay you should notice one of your windows is flooded with gibberish. It's probably something like this:

[05:24] [Notice] [Panta) [[Fserve Active] - Triggers:[/ctcp Panta manga(20/40) & /ctcp Panta
comics(20/40)] - Users:[0/2] - Record CPS:[30.4kB/s by Ducho_CWB] - Bytes Sent:[12.81GB] - Files Sent:[90327] - Accesses:[154355] - Current Bandwidth:[47.8kB/s] - Message:[21+GB de mangas e comics :þ] - SysReset 2.53]

That mess here is "Panta's" file serve. See "Triggers"? That's what you should care about.

/ctcp Panta manga

That is a trigger. Don't copy (20/40). That's just telling you the status of the serve. There's 20 out of 40 queue slots free. And yeah triggers are like links. Since it's /ctcp panta manga. It's trigger for manga.

Paste this trigger in the "Status:" window. You can paste it in "#mangadl" window, but I think its better you paste it in the status window.

Another window pops up which says "Chat Panta". Type "dir" to see what this fserve got to share/serve.

[05:39] [panta] [\*.*]
[05:39] [panta] CHINESE
[05:39] [panta] ENGLISH
[05:39] [panta] HK MANGA
[05:39] [panta] JAPANESE
[05:39] [panta] End of list

These are folders. To open them you plug in "cd nameofthefolder"
So let's type um.. "cd HK MANGA"

[05:39] [panta] [\hk manga]

Type "dir" to see the folder.

[05:45] [panta] [\hk manga\*.*]
[05:45] [panta] title.zip
[05:45] [panta] v1.zip
[05:45] [panta] v2.zip
[05:45] [panta] v3.zip

There's extension XD! Clearly these are not folders. To download a file. You highlight the file along with

it's extension. Paste. Plug in "get" before it. Like this:

get v2.zip

Then theres this message something "v2.zip is added to queue #number" You just have to wait for your file now. If I lost you, sorry. I tend to type in a blur. If it helped any then great :)

Re: Incase you didn't find a mIrc tutorial that's readable...
You lost me almost immediately.

(Reads again)

. . . . X_X . . . .

all the symbols and jibberish makes absolutely NO linear sense to me.

That read like every other FAQ I've read.

Thanks for the mega effort, It's my questions that kill me...

"Does the "" stay in, do you type in the brackets? And ABout a million other probably OBVIOUS questions to someone who uses it pop up in my head while reading..

It's the "stuff that is taken for granted" knowledge in-between stages that make FAQ like these so difficult for me to grasp.

and the "WHY" am I typing that info.

Like in HTML for example. I know...

I type in when I want an image to appear
It stands for Image SOurce it tells the browser to look for an image.

CONSTANT COMMAND (example of one I unserstand in IRC !list

!List ==>>
Action Explantion (!List = Lists servers, got it.) ==>>
Reaction to Action Variable (After you type it, incomprehensible pages and pages worth of jibberish appears for a split second before someone boots you from the room for typing in !List) ==>>
I Understand how it works. (Don't ever fucking type it.)

When codes are explained like that I "GET" it.

Just telling me "DO THIS" without giving me a reason or rationale to type "STIHYT!#" and to just DO IT, I never learn. My brain needs A + B = C E=MC2 instructions.

I have to know what the symbols mean and do, action and reaction and consequences to understand.

Thanks, but I'll go dribble in my shoes now like Mongo the Monkey girl now.

I have a copy of Samurai 7 episode 17. Do you have Streamload or AIM? I could send it to you. It's mostly flashbacks.
Dec. 1st, 2004 02:16 am (UTC)
*Cries I don't have either*

BUT I have webserver space.... do you have an FTP client?

I can make you a place to upload to my server.

Have I told you lately I love you?

Dec. 1st, 2004 07:40 am (UTC)
AIM is a really good thing to have, even if you just use it for file transfers. I find that shows that take me hours to download can take half the time to transfer over AIM. And it's free. ^___^

I have WSFTP, so I'm uploading the file for you now. At least, I hope I am. We'll see what happens when it gets done. I'm not the brightest bulb in the package when it comes to FTP...

I'm just glad I could help. I know how I feel when I need help, and someone is there for me. *hugs*

I have AIM, but my firewall won't allow transfers ;__;

I give you file share space anyway, you can use this for other things too if you need to, the folder is all yours as a thank you. (Naturally let me know via e-mail what you want me to change the password to for privacy)
