Making decoupage boxes using the origami paper mixed with my original artwork...and many shades of lovely smelly wood stain. (I love the smell of wood stain... I'm weird.)

Works for me? The boys are luffly, of course, but I also love the patterns on patterns on the side? or the back--could look at it a long time, but I love patterns^^

Thanks

Dude! I have that exact same washi paper on the first box.

I dig the first one, but the colors in the second one hurt my brain. I'd buy a cool box with yaoi boys on it. There's not nearly enough useful yaoi merchandise around, so I think this is a great idea.

But I think you should paper the boxes in all one design, or with designs or colors that are more similar.

I would GLADLY buy either of those myself! ^o^ They're beautiful! Very seamless and professional-looking

I agree with Kiriko-moth. The artwork is awesome, and I would instantly buy a nifty box like that if (the evil if) the colors would fit together a little bit better.

I'd certainly consider buying one, especially if you offer a choice of pictures.

Honest opinion? They look very nice and well made. If the boxes are as sturdy as the look in the photos I would most likely purchse one, or both (though I also liked the bishi-free ones you displayed earlier).

I do know there are junky box bases available in the craft stores, so I'd prefer to actually handle the boxes before deciding for sure. Unless they were really inexepensive, but then if you put much work into a project you'd want a fair price.

I like them all. Yes, I'd probably buy one if I saw them.

hmmm.. I really like the simplicity of the second one actually *plus I'm a sucker for the look of natural wood finishes ^_~*. Plus the softer colors tend to attract the girlie in me... the second box I think I'd use for my girlie stuff that needs a container *currently, my sewing needles, thread, needle threader, and what jewelry I own I keep in the two chinese tea cups that survived a year at my Mom's house with my brother Xx;. But I think a box like that would look better, and would look pretty sitting among my MLP's ^w^*.

*runs off to Michael's to get the materials for those hair ties*

I like food finishes too... That's why I don't cover the boxes entirely... I sand and stain the wood first (and I'm anal, I stain the INSIDE a contrasting color to make it look lined but maintain the wood grain. I should have taken a pic of the inside.)

And I agree with everyone's opinions so far, these were my first 2 using my art and I was making them NOT to sell, these two are actually for people as gifts (and no I'm not telling who!!!) ANd Mom suggested I make some for Yaoi-con but I wanted public opinion first before I blow HOURS and HOURS and HOURS on them.

THanks!

yesh, take a pic of the insides, I'd love to see ^_^.

OH! Hair ties... I'm adding a little more to it... tying duck and hackle feathers to the ends.. no metal pieces being used to do this *poses X3*.

But for yours, want an earthy blue tye or chocolate brown to match the leather strips?

If you offered one just like the ones you made(second pic from the top, with all the edges in origami paper), minus the artwork ( I do like the artwork, but it wouldn't fit my room decor ) I'd buy it.

Ah, and see, I'm a Michael's employee, so there's that little discount thing I get. ^_^ It's up for grabs if I'm not working....or Meg is available to go, as she can use mine too. Not much, but it might help if you're buying lots for resale or whatnot.
