ARRRGGGGHHH!

Ooooookay....

Got the ACFilter CHECK
Installed the matroksa pack CHECK
Installed the vobsub check

All the shit they made me install to WATCH the Damn Inu Yasha Movie....

SO WHY THE FUCK WON'T THE . MKV files play on ANY PLAYER I HAVE????

Not winamp, not DivX, not Window Media, Nuttin'

And I'm sorry on their read me file it says:

=======================================================================
[ ---- ] INUYASHA MOVIE 3: SWORD OF WORLD CONQUEST [ ---------------- ]
=======================================================================

Welcome to the InuYasha Movie 3: Sword of World Conquest readme. If you are reading
this, then that means you’re probably having some trouble playing either of the MKV files
labeled in parts under the name of the above mentioned movie.

First off, let me explain about the three .exe files that were packed with the .torrent
along with the movie parts:

ac3filter_(v70b).exe
This .exe file installs a DirectShow filter that allows your computer to decode both
.ac3 audio files and AC3 encoded audio files. This file format is used for our release of
InuYasha Movie 3.

matroska_pack_lite_(v1.0.2).exe
This .exe file installs support for your computer to decode the MKV container files.
MKV is a container format like OGM, only, as the IY4Ever team believes, it is better.
This pack does not contain codecs such as XviD, DivX, MPEG4, or any of the like; it is
strictly to allow you to open the MKV container format.

vobsub_(v2.23).exe
This .exe file installs support to switch between subtitle files that are present
in either a container file or in the same directory as your video file (the subtitle file
must have the same name as the video file for it to work in the same directory).

If you don't care about translation notes, merely change the file name to .avi and you can
play it just fine with AC3Filter. But with all of the above programs installed, it’s
impossible NOT to be able to play the files unless your computer really, really, really
sucks on a subliminal level... no joke.

My computer does NOT suck, it's rather NEW thank you very much.

So which player do I play this on? (Oh and you cannot change the files extension to .avi to play it either. NOTHING comes up.

*cries* I wanna see this?

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery here? I'm clueless how to get these files to work.

The player, that this file worked for me on, is the VLC media player. This player will play any file. And it seems like most BT files now a days have codes that even Windows Media Player 9 doesn't even have.

Just download the VLC media player at:

http://www.videolan.org

I hope this helps you out D, and the third movie is GREAT!! ^___^

I wholeheartedly agree. VideoLan rocks! I don't use anything else for movies anymore. Inuyasha movie 3 shouldn't be missed!

I have that program on my laptop for just this reason. (The last four fansubs of Wolf's Rain were encoded weird and I picked up that program)

I'm such an idiot I should have thought of this program.

Thanks for helping my brainfart!

It works!

oh that sucks. Someone else took three days d/ling the movie and found out that it wouldn't work on her player. Naturally she's mad about it.

I'm glad it worked on yours.

...

err.. if you don't mind me asking, I know at somepoint inu's necklace breaks... I was just wondering if they got a new one on him by the end of the movie?

Sorry for asking ^^; but I'm just curious. (my comp would die if I tried to d/l anything thats longer than five minutes)

Hey Random User XD
OMG.. >.> I'm only on effing 9% with the damn movie and I want to at least watch a part of it. The stupid players haven't downloaded yet so I'm summaging around looking to download the files sumwhere else. XD Your Journal popped up when I stuck the file name in google.

Jeez this thing is getting aggrivating though. It's sooo much easier downloading on Kazaa ;_; But no one has put it on there yet.

D: Have You tried installing the downloaded files... I can't see why they wouldn't work...

D: off to find places where I can download the ac3filter thingie and the vobsub
