God Please kill me!

Every Month, I'm bent in half for a week...
and I have company coming in 2 hours...

I just wanna lay down with the Heating Pad.

I have SUITCASES under my eyes
and I've taken about Six ibuprofen since about 2 a.m. this morning
and God no respite.

As strange as it sounds, Preparation H is supposed to help get rid of bags under your eyes...

Cold things help too, like cold cucumber slices...

I have to take Excedrin Migraine for my cramps. :\

I heard that before, but I'm so not putting ass creme on my face!

I cope, I old, I'm allowed to look like hell I have no one to impress, hell even well and feeling perky I have a face that stops clocks, so I'm not worried about bags.

Thanks though.

Have you ever tried those stick-on/strap on temp heating pads? trixie_chick told me about them, and while I haven't used the ones for cramps yet, I have used the back ones, and they're amazing. I kid you not, what they did for my quality of life when my back's bothering me is just..amazing. They don't seem to get as hot as real heating pads, but they work better. I don't know if it's because it's constantly pressed to my skin, or what, but they're just *so* nice. And of course, they go where you go, no cord to worry about.

The brand I have is called ThermaCare, and while the directions say to only leave it on for 8 hours, I had mine on from 1:30 in the afternoon until I got up the next day.

I'll have to try that.....

Anything is worth it with the way I get cramps.

I've always gotten them supremely *BAD*

and gee, just another 20 years or so.

Yeah, you and me both. My next period, I've got an appointment with the OB/GYN to start on Depo Provera so my periods will stop. I'm tired of dealing with it.

Yes, I hafta agree the Thermacare patches from cramps ROCK! They add the right amount of heat just where you need it and since they stick to you, literally, you can wear them anywhere ^___^.
I don't get cramps as bad as yours sound anymore, but I hate pain in any way shape or form, so I'm always on the look out for anything to kill all pain.
Another good way, if you can't get the Thermacare or something like it, seriously, cuddle with Kaiser for a while. His body warmth will help you and he seems like a cuddler anyway ^__^.

If hope you feel even a shmee bit better ^^;;. Ooo, I know a ceratin green haired braided puppy that loves to cuddle that would mind helping ya out some ^_^.

Oooooh Siiiimon! I have a job for youuuuuu!

Now I've heard...
that masturbation is supposed to lessen cramps.

So if you've got 20 minutes, a good lusty daydream and a locked door.... ^.~

Do hope you feel better.

Re: Now I've heard...

Well ANYTHING is worth a shot right?

Right, Mel Gibson, you and me, right now!

*chases after the cramps with a mallet!!* ... wait, that's probably not the best way to go after things. >.> <.<

I recall this stuff I used to drink before I lost sight of it, called PMS Tea. That actually helped a bit, with both the cramps and the moodiness. I'm not sure where you could find it anymore, it might be in your local grocer, or in something like GNC or something like that. I used to get it in the commissary of all places. Might be worth a shot.

In the mean time... *huggles!!*

Yet more advice, but this time from the alternative med camp. I get those kind of periods where basically all I can do is huddle in on myself and wait til the pain goes away and I can maybe, I don't know, breathe again. >_< There's an alt med school that I go to, mostly cuz it's cheap and real live med scares me, and they suggested something which I didn't try for a very long time since I didn't expect it to work, but... it actually does. Ever done homeopathics? Cuz I could not live without my Magnesia Phosphorica, 30c. It's just these little, tiny pellets that you let dissolve under your tongue. As soon as the pain starts, I pop 3 or 4 of those, along with the ever present advil, and the pain hardly lasts a few minutes, as opposed to the hours it did before. Ok. So that's my 2 cents, for what it's worth...

I know I'm way late, but if you drink a lot of caffiene, cut back on it and your cramps will be practically non-existant. I drink mostly Gatorade nowadays, whereas before I was having a can or two of soda *every* day. The cramps I used to get made me want to crawl into a hole, curl up in a little ball, and just die. Now, if I didn't keep track of my period, I wouldn't know when it was coming cause I literally have NO cramps. It's wonderful. Those heating pads work too- very comfortable and the heat is awesome; lasts for hours. :D
