Oh I've been in Loads I do the character acting really. (I prefer it)

In High School: (In order)

"Camelot" (just the Chorus - Freshmen DWEEB)

"The Music Man" (Mckekney Shin (sp) The Mayor's Wife... ONE GRECIAN URN!! pick-a-little-talk-a-little-cheep-cheep-cheep-kill-me)

"Man of LaMancha" (The goofey HouseKeeper who thinks Don Miguel deCervantes (Don Quixote) is after what's in her panties and she's like 80!.... Loved that role! ^^)

"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (Just a random no name stupid person/singer extra this one wasn't a "musical", and I just sang really during Intermission and background music for this. Like a lounge Act behind the "stars".. absolutely no pressure to 'perform' ^^ just sing torch songs... YEAH!)

"Sound of Music" (Mother Abess "CLIMB EV'RY MOUNTAIN! ><)

"South Pacific" (Bloody Mary.. BALI HAaaaai!)

"Godspell" (The slut)

"Gift of the Magi" (My one and only female lead... BORING!!!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ)

In College and After Summerstock:

"Jesus Christ Superstar" (Mary Magdelene... again the slut)

"Nunsense" (I was cast as Sister Robert Anne from New York YO!, again with the NUNS! But I moved to California right before it was set to go into production.)

I go both ends of that spectrum don't I am either a NUN or a SLUT *LOL*

I love being the character actor. Keep the lead, I want the "meaty" Roles.

I wish I could sing now like I did back then. I really had a powerhouse voice once upon a time (As you can sorta tell by the roles I played) but since 2000 when I had that brush with Mr. Death I've never gotten my singing voice back.

And not from lack of trying to build it back up either, I think the tubes they had down my throat in ICU did some damage to my vocal chords. It took me 3 months just to be able to talk above a whisper/rasp. I'd "scream" and all you heard was a lot of air. ><

I'm literally a tenor/baritone now and can go no higher in range speaking or otherwise. Than an octive at most above middle "C"

OOps.. forgot one... the one I wanted to block from memory forever

"Moll Flanders"

I was "Older Moll" where she's sitting in prison about to be shipped of the the Americas..

concept for thei independant production was BRILLIANT.
The stage was set in 2 part... I NEVER left the stage and as I told my story to the Jail Parson... it would flash back and then the "YOunger Moll" and very other characters would take over my narration of the scene.

This would have been brilliant had this *NOT* been an attempt at a musical too.

Like your GS cast.. this one had 2 musicians.

Myself and my Bud Mike (Who played Jemy Tolliver to my Moll... it was like kissing my gay brother! >< I'd known him almost all my life.)

His poor deluded mother... always wanted Mike and I to Hook up...

Right after the last performance off "MOLL!"

She said (Now we're both about 20 years old) "I don't know why after all these years you two never went out. That kiss looked so real."

I try not to giggle as Steve, Mike's "Special Friend" is behind Mike's Mom (And she's old too, she was almost 65 THEN, Mike was an "Oops" baby) Steve's behind her making faces at me and Mike and making smoochy kissey I will kill you later D faces.

Oh yeah.. "Sorry Mike's Mom.. no can do.... Um, it's like not EVER gonna happen."

"Yeah mom, it's like kissing a toad."

"Gee thanks a lot Mike!"

"YOu're welcome."

What a nightmare that show was.

But amusing memories around it.

I do too. I always want to go to the local theaters and try-out, but the ABILITY is gone, the desire isn't.

Maybe one of these years, I'll get something back good enough to handle the part.

And I forgot one more and I cannot BELIEVE I forgot my all time FAVORITE!

College again... (And I went to VanderCook College of MUSIC so we had all sorts of creative things goin on all the time, Music geeks do that. ><)

We did a concert version of Les Miserables!

No stage sets or costumes, just the entire score/concert type thing. (Like you can buy on DVD in the store, only like YEARS BEFORE that was ever even available. We're talking like 1990 here)

We all sat in chairs on the stage, dressed informally and just stood up to sing when it was our turn.

I sang Fantine's role.
"I dreamed a dream"

to this DAY it's my favorite musical score of all time. It makes me weep every time I play it.

You did a lot of things I'd have loved to have done, Improv especially, my improv consists of continuous random comedy to distract the people I'm trying to bury playing cards.

Distract them from the game tricks..

Evil? Me?
