The Owl pick is just. LOOK AT THE WOOD of the Table ALONE!
You can FEEL the age worn and polished surface from years of use and
oily hands touching it!
Then there's the LEATHER of the chair, the little details like
texture, the buttons, the braid, the little seams and creases and the
tiny little sewing/stitched repair job that you could miss if you don't look
GOD the boy is a genius.
The detail whore is not only SINGING in me, she's in full
blown "Habanera" mode!
"L'amour est un oiseau rebelle
Que nul ne peut apprivoiser,
Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle,
S'il lui convient de refuser.
Rien n'y fait, menace ou priaare,
L'un parle bien, l'autre se tait;
Et c'est l'autre que je praafaare
Il n'a rien dit; mais il me plaît.
L'amour! L'amour! L'amour! L'amour!"
(Eh sorry "Carmen" (Opera) Reference, I'm a music geek too.)
Translation of that Song Verse BTW...:
Love is a rebellious bird
That nothing can tame,
And it is simply in vain to call it
If it is convient for it to refuse.
Nothing will work, threat or pleading,
One speaks, the other stays quiet;
And it's the other that I prefer
He said nothing; but he pleases me.
Love! Love! Love! Love!
I thought it was totally appropriate for the painting that made me
And don't ask me why an Opera set in SPAIN is sung in FRENCH!
Blame the composer GEORGES BIZET (French Composer).
Hey at least my Music degree didn't go to waste COMPLETELY!
It enables me to sing arias to total strangers!
Hey... I am a FAT LADY! Aren't I supposed to sing that sort of stuff?
It ain't over until the Fat Lady sings after all.
